The VPP program is a three-tier rate plan in which participants pay a lower rate for electricity used during off-peak hours (when demand for electricity is less) and higher rates for electricity used during on-peak hours (when demand for electricity is high) from June - October.
Participants can save on their electric bills by shifting their energy usage from on-peak hours during the summer months, to low- or medium-cost hours. High-cost hours are weekdays from 2 PM - 7 PM.
Receive a FREE Wi-Fi thermostat when you enroll in any Power Hours program.
The TOD program is a two-tier rate plan that rewards you for using electricity wisely each year from June - October. Participants pay a lower rate for electricity used during off-peak hours and higher rates during on-peak hours.
Note: By enrolling in the TOD program, you save money when you shift your electricity use to times when the rates are lower, such as waiting to do laundry and run your dishwasher until after 7 PM or turning off your pool pump by 2 PM.
Equipment estimates from energystar.gov.
*Based on a 2-1/2 ton air conditioner.
Above estimates are based on average households. Savings vary by customer.
With the DLC program, you can earn automatic bill credits up to $40 each year, per thermostat participating. During occasional periods of high electricity demand called “peak events," PSO will raise the target temperature on your thermostat no more than four degrees, or cycle your compressor on and off in varying increments.
NOTE: If you have more than one thermostat in your home registered in the program, all registered thermostats must participate in the peak event to receive the bill credits.
Maximize your savings by enrolling in the Combo program which includes both the DLC and the TOD program.
